Hippy Shoot!

This image is from a few weeks back, shoot organised by the lovely Ruth Hancox.
It was a very busy day there was seven other models, loads of make up artist a
stylist and a few photographers. There was two different looks throughout the day
The one in the image above was the first look which was a late 60's early
70's bohemian summery vibe. Which I loved! It's something very different for
me but I really like it, felt very hippy and free. They also brought in a gorgeous little
VW Beetle which was fun to pose in and around. The second styling was a film noir
type theme like a glamorous show girl. I loved that one too so keep a look out for
those images. The day was a great success and lots of fun. I will put some more
images up soon so keep an eye out for those.

Eating Out x

I wore this outfit when I went for a meal with my girlies.
It's a separate top and skirt, I put it together with a little vintage belt.
I am wearing my usual jewellery as well as my wooden rosary beads.
My make up was natural Brody Dalle inspired although you can't really
tell with this image. I really love the asymmetric skirt I want one in a
soft chiffon type fabric. I had a great night and a lovely meal yum!

Pipp Matchwick Photography x

Pipp Matchwick

These stunning images are from the wonderful Pipp Matchwick.
As you can see from the images Pipp has a unique photography
style which I love. As well as photographing me Pipp also did the
styling which was wicked too! The whole shoot was studio based
which was nice as I have done a lot of location recently.
We only had the studio for two hours which really shows how
talented Pipp is as we got some fantastic images! Hair and Make
up was done by myself.

Alessandra Scala Photography x

Alessandra Scala

On Thursday I had an amazing shoot with the lovely and incredibly talented Alessandra Scala! Not only did she take these stunning image but she also styled me which I absolutely loved!. The make up was done by myself which is always fun to do.
We shot the first few images on some steps which are situated at Paradise Forum, Birmingham. Then we moved to a grave yard which was spooky but fun. There was a slight fog in the air that came out stunningly in the images as you can see! Even though it was super cold it was worth it.
Alessandra was a joy to work with, she had lots of great ideas and knew exactly what she wanted from the shoot. She had planned the day perfectly!
For more images from the day head over to my facebook page 'Jodi Lakin Model' while you're there give Alessandra's a like 'AScalaPhotography'.

Take a look at these images from today's shoot with lovely Matthew Osborne.
I had a brilliant day, a mixture of shooting on location and in the studio has
given me a fantastic variety of shots. Matt's ability to continuously come
up with new ideas made the shoot a breeze. It was a relaxing day in the sun!
Matt also took a short film of me as the sun was setting so keep an eye out for that!

Birthday Night x

I thought I would show you the outfit and make up I wore to my birthday night.
Sorry the picture is rubbish my fella didn't know how to zoom out so I had to bend down ha ha.
Anyway I love snake skin at the moment and when I saw this top I had to buy it! I love it! I have been dressing in dull earthy, tones and colours for quite a while I'm not sure why but it makes me happy. So there we go, strange I know. x

In Make-up x

Had a great shoot today with the very talented Jessica Oates in Birmingham!
It was a studio shoot with two very different make up looks done by the wonderful Rae Sinclair.
We did mostly head and shoulder shots to focus on the make up, so I feel I have got some more
lovely images to greater my portfolio. The day was a great success!
